Sieve filters

Dust bag filters
Description:

The POLJET dust collector series is a type of sieve filter, and as such they utilize the filtration capacity of the filter sleeves.
In this case it is filtered through a cloth while cleaning the medium in compressed air in a counter current, also known as a jet stream. This system allows handling large amounts of air characterized by high concentrations of dust. The filtering is carried out in the combined operation of three mechanisms:
• Inert pressure: Because of the mass of particles, the solid particles carried in the air stream do not continue in the direction of the gas movement as the direction of movement changes due to an obstacle, and they collide with an obstacle (1μm particle filter);
• Capture: The solid particles that continue in the motion of the gas after changing its direction move within a smaller radius relative to the obstacle and are trapped by it (particle filtration & 0.2-1μm);
• Diffusion: Due to their Brownian motion, the particles collide with the gas molecules as they deviate from the orbit and are likely to collide with an obstacle (0.2μm particle filtration).
The POLJET filters are built for continuous operation thanks to the automatic cleaning system that minimizes the risk of clogging the sleeves and thus reduces the frequency of maintenance of the filter.
The filter sleeves are made of special materials. It is possible to distinguish between the unique characteristics of the various filter materials, such as: the dimensions of the fibers, the mechanical resistance of the fibers, the resistance to air passage and the electrical charges.
Cleaning the system’s “jet stream” refers, in a whole row of sacks, to the introduction of a rapid jet of compressed air for a variable period of 0.03 to 0.2 seconds. The current triggers a pressure wave that passes quickly to the bottom of each sack.
The wave shakes the filter material, crushing the accumulated powder layer and falling into a collecting funnel at the bottom of the filter.
Due to the short shock, the amount of compressed air utilized is very small compared to that of the entire structure, so there is no need to stop the pumping process into the contaminated air system.
The sacks in the other rows continue to filter out the air that needs to be filtered from the sacks passing through the cleaning stage.
The frequency of compressed air pulses varies, and is managed by an electric controller
Main Uses of Bag Filters

  • Treatment of dust in the ceramics, cement, concrete and rubber industries.
  • Dust treatment in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
  • Handling dust when weighing, filling, or mixing powdery materials.
